CARASANA Bäderbetriebe GmbH is pleased to announce an innovation at the historic Friedrichsbad: From July 1, 2024, special bathing days with swimwear will be introduced. On two days a week, Wednesdays and Saturdays, our guests will be able to enjoy the Roman-Irish bath exclusively in swimwear - on the other days of the week, bathing will continue to take place traditionally without swimwear.

With this measure, we want to make the Friedrichsbad, as an essential part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, accessible to a wider public and at the same time meet the needs and wishes of our guests. At a time when cultural sensitivity and personal needs are becoming increasingly important, it is essential to take account of the trend towards textile bathing culture. The increasing demand for textile saunas in the Caracalla Therme and the intensive use of our corresponding offers confirm this trend. By introducing bathing days with and without swimwear, we can make the historical cultural asset of the Friedrichsbad and the experience of Roman-Irish bathing culture accessible to even more people.

For over 145 years, the Friedrichsbad has been a refuge of relaxation, recreation and renewal. With its unique ambience and incomparable relaxation experience, it continues to delight its guests time and time again. We hope that this innovation will attract many new guests who will be able to experience the World Heritage Site in the most relaxing way Baden-Baden has to offer.
